Both humans and dogs enjoy this wide open space where they are free to run, hike, walk, bike with friends and family. And everyone knows that a tired dog is a good dog. A definite Win-Win for all.
As responsible stewards of the park, The Guardians work with the community to sponsor special fun events at the park. We can always use additional helping-hands.

November 21, 2026 - 3rd Annual Paws-Giving Day
The Westy Dog Park Guardians are excited for our 3rd annual Pawsgiving Day on November 21, 2026.
This is one of the best events of the year as the Guardian community comes together to help pets in need. Donations of pet food, treats, towels, toys, collars and leashes will be collected from 9 am to 12 noon at both the 100th and Simms entrances of the Westminster Hills Dog Park. We can even accept bags of food that may have been opened, or food and supplies for any type of pet you might find at a shelter. You can also find QR codes on our flyer for easy cash donations to each of our selected recipients this year.
Did you know that in 2024 the Guardians collected 2,050 pounds of pet food, and that last year, in 2025, we collected over double that amount to just shy of 5,000 pounds! Mountain States Toyota even helped us by donating 1,500 pounds of pet food last year! How many pounds will you help us collect this year?
Ways you can help

Volunteers are always needed to help us accept the donations at the collection tables, to help load trucks and cars with donated items, and even to help deliver the donations to Foothills Animal Shelter, Riverdale Animal Shelter, and FISH of Westminster. Do you have an SUV or a pick-up and a big heart? We could certainly use your help! Please contact us at info@westydogs.org to sign up to help on November 21, 2026.

If you can’t make it to the park on November 21, 2026, we have two early drop off locations at G’s Tacos at 9100 W. 100th Ave, and Front Range Gardens at 10195 Wadsworth Blvd. Stop by to drop off a donation, and stay for some tacos, or pick up a great plant!
- We also ask that you help the Guardians by spreading the word about Pawsgiving in any way that you can. Share the flyer with your friends and family, make a post on FaceBook, Instagram, or TikTok, or put a sign in your yard! Please share, share, and share again so that we can help as many pets this year as possible!
Additionally, we are pleased that the Guardians are participating in the 4th Annual Food Drive
Sponsored this year by Westminster City Councillors Obi Ezeadi and Adam Barajas. You may notice flyers posted at the park entrances for this event which is working to collect for both People and Pets who may be in need this year. This effort will continue through December 21, 2026 and has several drop locations throughout the City. The full list of drop off locations are listed on the flyer.

Please join us for this one-day Park Clean Up. We will be at both entrances with Bags, Buckets, Scoopers, Gaiters and we will manage the disposal.
