May 17th Celebration Event Successful!
Mayor McNally and City Council Members Obi Ezeadi, David DeMott, Amber Hott and Clair Carmelia at the Ribbon Cutting to officially celebrate The Guardians adoption of the Westminster Hills Open Space Dog Off-leash Natural Area,
Everyone had Tail-Waggin’ Fun with Pup-cups, Toys, Treats, and free Professional Pet Photos. Happy Park-lovers and Dogs were enjoying the beautiful day.
Rangers talked about the natural environment, wildlife, park safety and precautions that patrons can take during snake season.

In 2024, Westy Dog Park Guardians presented 50 pages of research and recommendations to Westminster City Council. It includes:
- Impact to the community
- Mental and physical health benefits
- Analysis of City survey findings
- Environmental assessment and solutions
- Year-over-year plan for long-term park health
