The Guardians are a Grassroots Pack of Pawsome People
We are actively working with the City of Westminster's Parks, Recreation & Libraries and the community to
- preserve all 470 acres of off-leash access
- protect Open Space natural environment
- promote responsible dog ownership & safety
Like you, we love the wide open space, mountain vistas and multitude of trails begging all of us to roam free.

VOLUNTEER with the Guardians
PUP Party at the Park
The Guardians & Friends will be in the Park on Saturday, October 18th for a park clean up. We will supply Bags, Buckets, Gloves, Scoopers, Gaiters and we'll manage the disposal.
Guardians will be at both the 100th Street and Simms entrances to assist volunteers. Pup-Cups for your furry companions will add a little fun to the occasion.

The Guardians are just as passionate about sustainability and responsible land management as we are about our four-legged friends! We feel strongly that we have a duty to preserve this treasured resource for generations to come. In 2024, Westy Dog Park Guardians presented 50 pages of research and recommendations to Westminster City Council. It includes:

- Mental and physical health benefits
- Analysis of City survey findings
- Environmental assessment and solutions
- Year-over-year plan for long-term park health
